“One day I found myself with my headphones and portable microphone, recording the sound of the village where we live in the mountains of Crete. At this altitude, the resonance of different sounds over the valley felt very interesting. I had realised that with this recording, I could be transported home anytime - from anywhere in the world. I layered ambient sounds recorded at different moments of the day and intentionally weaved them with sounds played at irregular frequencies to make one feel as if they’re floating through organic elements. One thing led to the next and this became a real long term endeavour that I became very passionate about. I used it in my personal meditation practice. I then got to play my first ‘sound journey’ called Sacred Sounds live, bringing in experimentation with ancestral instruments. The deeper I immersed myself in it, the more I felt like it was worth finding a way to share this with more people. This is how Heartscape was born. It’s a one-hour soundtrack that takes you through 10 phases of a deeply healing auditive journey. Enjoy”
